Eine 1:1-Zuordnung von Reinraumhandschuhen zu einer Luftreinheitsklasse gemäß ISO 14644-1 ist nicht möglich. Lediglich aufgrund spezieller, aus reinraumtechnischer Sicht relevanter Eigenschaften wie z. B. „Abriebfestig­keit“ oder „Partikelemission“ können Empfehlungen ausgesprochen werden. In der VDI-Richtlinie 2083 Blatt 9.2 finden Anwender weitere Hinweise hierzu.
