It is a great pleasure to announce that we have received the renowned Cleanzone Award 2024 together with the German Institutes for Textile and Fibre Research Denkendorf (DITF). The award ceremony took place on 26 September 2024 at the Cleanzone trade fair in Frankfurt/Main. Our award-winning project – the ReBa² test method (Realitätsnahe Bakterienbarriere, or ‘Realistic Bacteria Barrier’) – sets new standards for determining the penetration of germs in textiles for reusable cleanroom garments. This innovative method is characterised by realistic exposure scenarios and a high degree of flexibility, which represents a significant advance over conventional testing methods.
Significance for the industry
The ReBa² test method enables a more precise assessment of the microbiological protective function of cleanroom outerwear and undergarments, which is particularly important in sensitive areas such as the life science industry. Keyword: Annex 1 of the EU-GMP guidelines.
Through the practical simulation of wearing scenarios, we can further optimise the contamination control strategy for cleanrooms.
Motivation for the future
We would like to express our sincere thanks to everyone who contributed to this success – our dedicated R&D team, our two project partners at the DITF and, finally, the Cleanzone trade fair visitors who voted for our project.
This award strengthens our commitment to continuously work on innovative solutions. We see the award as an incentive to continue raising the standards in our industry and to break new ground.
